The New Website & Blog

Welcome to my new website and photography blog.  I thought I would use my first blog post to detail the logic behind the website.

I have always preferred any website of mind to be simple in design and easy to navigate.  Up until now I have always had a predominantly white background and black text.  I felt that part was due a change and reserved the colours.  I have also moved away from dynamic menus, buttons and photographic slides.  I would rather the content of my website do the talking and not fancy visual tricks.

I selected Wix as my service provider because they have never let me down and the editing tools and editing options and website services available are very impressive as is their support.  It is very easy to setup and maintain a website and the services you wish to prompt.

I created my own logo again keeping it simple, clean and tidy using Photoshop.  All the photographs were managed by Lightroom and edited in Lightroom, Photoshop and Nix Silver Efex Pro.

Within the confines of this blog I will details of my journey over the last 15 years, my continuing journey and any new work I produce.  Any project base work will be detailed in a separate project related website / blog.  I will share my thoughts and experiences of my current equipment and those I have used in the past.  You will also find my ramblings about photograph in general, the industry and I hope to showcase the work of others and those who inspire me.

So here’s to the next 15 years may they be as colourful as the last, well at least on the photography side of this!
