Birds, like people are full of  character, some bold, others shy and some even cheeky.  I love capturing their personalities as they go about their daily business and have been lucky to live near a number of Nature Reserves.

Whilst the exterior of churches are generally associated with celebrating the lives of those who have passed the interiors  play host to celebrations from birth to our passing.  The also play host to social gatherings.

There is nothing more rewarding than watching people and the world go about their daily business.

The heart of any Heritage Railway is the staff and volunteers who put in endless hours to keep it running and the visitors who get to enjoy their hard work.

A Heritage Railway would be nothing without the trains which are built, maintained and run by an amazing group of staff and volunteers.

The photographs in this gallery were taken at Didcot Railway Centre in Oxfordshire.

We cannot go through a day without being told, warned or notified of something.

The grounds of a church is one of the few places left that have not been changed by the rat race that the world around us has become.  They are a peaceful place to celebrate the lives that have past.

My self portrait work has been heavily influenced by one of my favourite photographers, Vivian Maier.  I found her work not only inspirational but thought provoking.

One thing Peak Rail has is a lot of opportunities for abstract photographs..
