A little bit about me.
I took up photography in the search of finding my own personal space where I could explore the world around me, be creative and start to deal with my depression and anxieties. That was 15 years ago and I am so glad I took the plunge. For the first time I found a medium I was comfortable with and a space to explore my creativity having never be adapt at using my hands or words.

As I learnt to break down my mental health challenges into manageable sizes and the approach soon found its way into my photography. I love to break down a subject into smaller elements or find something ordinary and try and show it in an interesting or unusual way. I started my photographic journey with churches as there were many in and around where I lived and they were challenging to photograph especially the interiors. My photography has recently moved towards a more documentary style and more project based.

I am a very proud member of the Royal Photographic Society and honoured to have achieved their first Distinction, their Licentiate. I am now working towards their second, the Associate photographing a local Heritage Railway, Peak Rail. Details of the project can be found here.
